Blog: Summer 2020 Update

03/04/2022

Despite the circumstances 2020 has presented, our summer has been full of excitement! We welcomed a new SVP of Strategy and Partnerships, kicked off our first ever virtual Vincit Talks, finished a third office expansion, and last, but definitely not least, were recognized for some pretty cool awards.

Fast Company - Top 100 globally Best Workplace for Innovators

One of our proudest moments this year was being named one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators. The award identifies companies that empower employees at all levels to improve processes, create new products, or invent new ways of doing business. Entrants were evaluated by Fast Company’s editorial staff, and finalists were reviewed by a research team at Accenture as well as a group of judges.

Out of thousands of applicants worldwide, Vincit ranked #42 out of 100 companies globally and was honored in the magazine’s September 2020 issue. The distinguished list included tech giants such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce.

American Business Award - Achievement in Human Resources

The American Business Awards (also known as the Stevie Awards) for Great Employers are an international business awards competition that’s open to organizations worldwide. The awards recognize the world's best companies to work for, HR teams, professionals, achievements, new products, and suppliers that help to create and drive great places to work.

Vincit was honored with a Bronze award based on accomplishments and focus on the freedom for employees to do as they would. The judges noted that Vincit has a culture that “improves employee experience through career investments and creating an environment where the employee voice is captured."

Best & Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation

Earlier this summer, the National Association for Business Resources announced Vincit as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in the Nation. The competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in operations and employee enrichment that lead to increased productivity and financial performance. We are very proud to be identified as a company that values communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention.

Finalists for OCtane High Tech Innovation Awards

Looking to the future and in more local news, Vincit was selected as a finalist for the Best Tech Company Leadership Team category at this year’s OCtane High Tech Awards. Finalists will be evaluated based on their management model, how they motivate their employees, company culture, diversity, and their involvement in the Orange County Community/Ecosystem.

The winner will be announced during the High Tech Awards virtual ceremony on September 17th from 11am-1pm PST, so stay tuned and fingers crossed!

H1 Figures

And now for the fun stuff, financials! Though our worlds were turned upside down due to the pandemic, we are extremely grateful to come out of this uncertain situation stronger than ever.

Like several organizations, we had to reimagine our game plan and learn how to adapt to the radically changing economic climate. Vincit is working harder and faster to find new customers, reducing operating costs, and securing our financial standing by all means necessary.

With this considered, our bi-annual performance is a strong reflection of the resilience of our company, and highlights our ability to triumph during a challenging time. Looking at our numbers from the first half of the year, our turnover grew almost 9% to 26.7 MEUR with profitability increasing significantly. While our momentum has greatly improved, we will remain cautiously optimistic for the future and what lies ahead.

Above all, we want to thank our Vincitizens for all their efforts and pushing through with grace and positivity.

As always, continue to stay healthy and safe!
