Just before the holiday season in June, we at Vincit invited our existing and potential customers to a Vincit - SAP co-hosted event, Grow with Vincit, at our Freda office. As in our earlier customer events, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed, even though there was a lot of information about SAP’s strategy updates and new offerings.
We explored how SAP Business Suite integrates three powerful elements – applications, data, and AI – allowing you to mix and match SAP and non-SAP solutions based on your unique needs and evolving market demands. The solution package is built to help you accelerate business growth, embrace industry best practices, and future-proof your operations.
Vincit, as your local trusted and business-oriented SAP partner, helps you identify relevant steps and solutions for your business.
1. How cloud ERP works in practice
In one of our breakout sessions, Juha Haaramäki from Schetelig Oy shared their real-world experience transitioning to SAP Business Suite. They began by renewing their core ERP with SAP Public Cloud, paving the way for future expansions into other integrated solutions like Sales Cloud and Concur Travel & Expense management.
Juha highlighted the value of the Starter ERP that SAP Public Cloud provides out of the box. This ready-to-use environment gave Schetelig’s project team hands-on access to the system and data tailored to their business, making it easier to validate processes and design the solution around their specific needs.
The session also covered the key drivers behind choosing SAP’s Public Cloud and offered practical advice on leading change within the organization, especially as moving to the cloud requires new business-led technology thinking and a shift in company culture. The takeaways showed that with the right guidance and open cloud mindset, SAP Business Suite can enable organizations to embrace innovation while maintaining a strong business focus.
2. AI in action – meet Joule, your new business assistant
In our business AI session, we finally managed to see SAP’s AI diamond Joule in action, and that was a really interesting experience, especially for people who have used SAP ERP with a traditional user interface for years.
SAP is entering a new era of enterprise management where AI isn’t just an add-on – it’s the unified user interface that drives the entire experience. Central to this shift is Joule, SAP’s embedded conversational AI assistant. Joule is more than a virtual helper. SAP estimates it can boost business user productivity by up to 30% by simplifying tasks and streamlining day-to-day operations.
Joule is already proving its value as a hands-on assistant and process guide. Need to locate a sales document? Joule will find it. Want to set up a follow-up action or summarize a long process? Joule can do that too.
And this is just the start. Joule is reshaping how companies manage their work, making business processes easier so you can focus on what matters most.
3. Sales Cloud v2 – a next-generation CRM
As already mentioned, SAP Business Suite is more than just cloud ERP - it also includes several other native cloud-based business solutions like CRM for professional sales management that is naturally seamlessly integrated with any other applications within the Business Suite.
SAP Sales Cloud v2 is a completely rebuilt, cloud-native CRM solution designed to align seamlessly with the composable SAP Business Suite. Sales Cloud’s modern architecture not only ensures smooth integration with the wider SAP landscape but also simplifies extensibility for custom use cases. During the demo, we saw how ERP data can now flow directly into CRM, which gives you a 360-degree customer view with less complexity and overhead.
Sales Cloud v2 also comes equipped with powerful AI capabilities. Beyond traditional navigation, you can now interact with the system via a conversational assistant, allowing you to execute commands naturally and quickly. Plus, embedded AI features help streamline daily tasks, with prebuilt scenarios to summarize transactional data or even draft emails. These features make Sales Cloud v2 a smarter, more responsive CRM.
4. Concur – making expense management easier
We also introduced another really interesting example of a business solution for helping you to manage and automate travel and expense costs within our organization.
SAP Concur is a public cloud-based travel and expenses solution and part of the SAP Financial Suite Premium package licenses within the SAP Business Suite. It’s an easy-to-use solution via your mobile and includes workflow capabilities for verifications and approvals, with pre-filled content based on attached photos of expense receipts.
The solution is natively integrated with SAP Cloud ERP processes. Embedded business AI capabilities also speed up the travel and expenses process steps.
5. Business Data Cloud – unlocking value from data
Data, and especially correct data, is even more important than ever before as we want to utilize data from different sources based on our business needs.
SAP Business Data Cloud is designed as a transformative tool that simplifies the way organizations manage, integrate, and analyze data across diverse environments. The tool allows data governance and analytics at scale, helping companies gain actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
A key challenge highlighted during our discussion was the complexity inherent in modern data landscapes. Multiple data sources, evolving processes, and disparate skill sets – combined with data quality and maturity issues – make it difficult to build robust, data-driven solutions. Tackling these factors is critical for creating a strong, sustainable foundation for long-term data initiatives.
We also explored the rise of hybrid data architectures, where on-premises and cloud systems must work together seamlessly. This flexibility enhances scalability but requires careful design, robust governance, and disciplined execution to ensure data stays unified, accurate, and trustworthy.
Ultimately, the most important outcome is turning data into business value. That means going beyond collecting and storing data. You need to align your data strategy with business goals, invest in data quality, and foster a culture of data maturity across the organization. By approaching data as a strategic asset, businesses can transform it into a true catalyst for innovation and competitive growth.
When it comes to growing your business, the time to act is now – Vincit is your trusted local partner to help you discover, plan, build, and run new ways of working with SAP Business Suite.
