Mirka is an internationally operating family business dedicated to finding innovative solutions in surface finishing technology. Mirka wanted to digitalize their way of working to better serve their partners and customers.
The challenge – the need to make ways of working digital
Mirka relies on their partners for a large portion of sales but needed more effective digital tools to strengthen collaboration, efficiency, and customer experience across its global operations.
The goal was to build a robust digital foundation, including a partner portal and modern sales and marketing tools. This transformation aimed to streamline communication, provide instant access to product information, and empower partners with real-time data – all driven by the need to enhance sales performance.

The solution – a strategic implementation of SAP CX and Akeneo PIM
The collaboration with Vincit began in 2019 when Mirka decided to implement their digital transformation with SAP Customer Experience (CX) suite. SAP CX suite is a comprehensive set of cloud-based solutions designed to help businesses manage and enhance their customer relationships across all touchpoints.
We worked as part of Mirka’s team to help them implement key SAP components. As time went on, we transitioned to a continuous development role, adding new features as needed. We also created an Akeneo PIM system for the approximately 25,000 products Mirka has in their product assortment. The goal was to make it easier to handle all the data related to their wide variety of products.
Our role goes beyond simple implementation – we work as experts who have a deep understanding of Mirka’s business and can suggest different solutions to help Mirka meet their business goals. Sparring with Mirka and being a close part of their team is integral to the success of our collaboration.

Enhanced sales and marketing capabilities
Mirka is now able to use SAP CX in digital business to better serve partners and increase sales. They also have SAP Sales Cloud, a modern CRM solution that makes managing information easier for Mirka salespeople. We’re continuing to work closely with Mirka as part of their team to update these solutions as needed with new features so they can continue to improve their sales and marketing activities.
Making product assortment management easier
The new Akeneo PIM system centralizes, organizes, and streamlines product data across multiple channels in one easy-to-use location. The PIM helps with categorization, planning, and collaboration while supporting data-driven decisions.

Over the past five years, our approach has been to put Mirka’s business first. While our technical expertise in SAP CX is part of our foundation of what we do, it’s not the whole story.
