At Vincit, we talk a lot about Better Mondays. A Better Monday is not just about "cool" projects or cake at the office (though the cake is important).
It’s about the promise we make to each other on how we’ll behave when the weather gets unpredictable. Our culture is the anchor that keeps us steady, whether we’re celebrating a big win or navigating through some gray clouds.
Last month, our Board of Directors approved Vincit’s new Code of Conduct. Not to humble brag, but they called it exceptional and "street smart." Instead of creating a dusty, 50-page rulebook written by lawyers, we decided to do things differently.
A guide to being awesome
Our Code of Conduct is a simple, compact guide to how we do things at Vincit. Our People team sat down with employee representatives, our Extended Leadership Team, our quality and partner managers, and our learning director to build something we could all actually sign our names to.
It applies to every single one of us, from our newest trainee to our CEO. It ensures that no matter what our role is, we act with integrity, empathy, and fairness.
The pillars of Better Mondays
Our Code of Conduct is based on the areas that matter most to our community:
-
We believe in Better Mondays: We support a healthy work-life balance and want to be a force for good for our people, communities, and planet.
-
We are honest: Trust is our foundation. We play fair and do the right thing even when no one is watching.
-
We are good company: We are a diverse team that celebrates our differences. We have zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination.
-
We spend smart: We treat Vincit’s assets—whether it’s code, funds, or laptops—with respect.
-
We keep our digital house in order: Security isn't an afterthought. It's a core responsibility to protect our own and our clients' data.
One of the most vital parts of this guide is our commitment to being brave. We want a community where it is actually safe to voice concerns. If you see something that doesn’t feel right—whether it’s bad behavior or a sketchy decision—speak up, and we’ll have your back. All reports are handled confidentially, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation.
Turning paper into practice
We chose to write this for humans because this document shouldn't just be about following rules. We are building a workplace where everyone can feel proud and safe. Whether you are working in Tampere, Poznań, or California, you deserve to know exactly what to expect from your colleagues and your leaders.
We don't want this document to be something you read once and forget. That's why we've integrated it into Univincity (our platform for promoting Vincitizens' competence development) with a new course, short video, and even a quiz to help everyone master the basics.
That's how we build Better Mondays for everyone.
