Telinekataja had a clear need to modernize its entire data environment to meet the demands of the 2020s. The previous data platform consisted of systems from different vendors, which formed a rather difficult-to-manage whole.

The goal was clear: build a solution that would enable more versatile use of data now and in the future. It needed to offer an easier way to manage and develop data services, serve a growing number of internal users efficiently, and empower in-house teams to handle small-scale development independently.

We responded to Telinekataja’s modernization challenge and strategic decision to move more firmly into the Microsoft ecosystem by designing a modern and scalable data platform based on Microsoft Fabric. The platform’s architecture design and implementation were carried out in close collaboration with Telinekataja’s own expert team. This close collaboration ensured that the end result fully meets the needs of their business, while also strengthening their own expertise.

As a result of the project, Telinekataja gained a modern and unified Microsoft Fabric data platform that raised the company’s data capabilities to a new level. Data management solutions that were previously scattered or in need of updating were replaced with a centralized and consistent environment. The figures in reporting have been made more accurate and the user base has been expanded. A well-functioning platform has increased users’ trust in the reports, and BI tools are no longer used only by top management but are genuinely part of the organization’s daily operations. Telinekataja now has a robust platform that will not only serve them for years to come, but also enables a move toward advanced analytics and the opportunities offered by AI.
