Vincit California 2019 in a Nutshell

2019 was a thrilling year at Vincit California. To push forward with the growth we have systematically increased our average project size and had an overall increase in our team headcount by 33%. Our revenue in 2019 was 6.5 million dollars, year-on-year growth 39.3 %. Operating profit in 2019 was 1.5 million dollars, which is 22.2% of the revenue. Vincit Plc. 2019 revenue was 52.9 million dollars.

To accommodate our growing team, we decided to knock down some walls and expand to the neighboring office in Summer 2019. The expansion doubled the size of our 11th-floor Headquarters, providing 180-degree views over Orange County. Come and take a quick tour here.

In addition to our expanding Orange County presence, we opened our third California office in Santa Monica. We had a tremendous Summer Kick off party and hosted our 3rd Quarter Vincit Dev Talks in the new space.

For the first time, our work culture was recognized nationally when Inc. Magazine listed us as a 2019 Best Workplace. We were named Best Workplace by the Orange County Business Journal and a Top Workplace by the Orange County Register, two years running. Additionally, we won Best Tech Work Culture at this year’s TIMMY awards, hosted by Tech in Motion Orange County.

We also received recognition for our design and development, winning two Golds at the Orange County American Advertising Federation Awards, also known as the ADDY Awards. Other noteworthy mentions include recognition at OCTANE’s High Tech Innovation Awards for Outstanding Small Technology CEO and Excellence in Entrepreneurship by the Orange County Business Journal. We also celebrated our Head of People Operations being named in Greater Irvine Chamber’s 40 under 40 list and nomination for Orange County Business Journal’s Women in Business.

During the year we worked with several clients in the security industry, many leading OEM's, B2B and B2C eCommerce, Automotive, and Media & Entertainment. These growing segments already show much promise for our 2020 pipeline. Take a look at our latest work:

This year is already off to an exciting start. We love to collaborate with our existing clients and have already started to work with several new stirring customers. The second phase of our office expansion has already started, and we look forward to adding another suite worth of space to our office this spring. We are continuously looking to add Passionate Software Developers, Senior UI/UX Designers, and Business Development roles into the team. See our open positions here.

With this, I want to thank all of our employees, clients, and partners for a great year. I look forward to working with you in 2020.

The World (Wide Web) is Mobile, Are You?

If you’ve been in the business for a long time, you’re probably designing and developing your web content using “desktop first” practices. That has been the industry standard for years. After all, the web was born on desktop devices, and it’s hard to depart from decades of this legacy experience and thinking. However, it may be time to switch things up. The success of your business depends on it.
